Seconds Anyone?

As I finished my ice cream cone tonight, E came up to me and said "Mommy, I think you are growing. You don't want to grow too big, though, or you might break the house." I think I'll pass on the second ice cream cone.

Half Way There!!!

I can't believe how fast time flies. In May, Jared finished his first year of the MBA. Only one more to go!!! I can't believe it is half way over. Then yesterday, Jared finished his 6th week of a 12 week internship with General Motors. Once again, I can't believe it is half way over.
Yes, since I last posted, we moved to the Detroit area. Jared is doing an internship in finance with GM, and is loving it. We love the area, and we have made some fabulous friends that I am not looking forward to leaving in 6 weeks. I hope that this internship turns into a full time offer so that we can come back next May. I guess we'll see what the Lord has planned for us here soon.
So much has happened that I haven't posted about that I need to, like Baby N's 1st birthday. I'll do that soon, I promise, with pictures.

Parent's Blog

To everyone who knows my parents, (Paul and Susan Sherwood)
Check out their new blog. They are getting ready to go on a mission, and wanted to start a blog so that everyone can stay updated on their mission. Their blog is Top of the Forest (get it? Sherwood Forest, I think it's clever).
Enjoy!!!

First Garden Attempt

So here is the garden I just planted. Not bad, for my first attempt. A little sparce. It needs about 20 more tulips and hyaciths, and some daffodils, but funds are low. Maybe next spring.
I am excited for the summer, cause that is when the rest of what I planted will bloom. Hopefully that will look a little more full. There are 40 bulbs, 3 iris plants, and 4 peony plants, as well as the 7 plants that were already there, that grow pretty purple flowers. You can see them sprouting behind the pansies. I have no idea what they are. We'll see how it turns out.

Like Mother Like Daughter

Today I went to the store to buy some groceries, and I ended up getting $40 worth of flowers and bulbs to plant in the yard. I am sooooo my mothers daughter.  I can't wait to see them grow!  This is the first time that I have had a spot of ground where I could plant something, and I am so excited to do it.

REQUEST FOR HELP, NEED YOUR VOTE!!!!

We have some fabulous friends, the Madura's, that are in need of your help. Here is their family picture.

Aren't they a handsome family? The only problem is that this picture just doesn't capture the awesomeness that is The Madura Family. This is where they need your assistance. Since Kerri explains things so much better than I do, I have copied her plea for help here.

Guess WHAT!!!

We were selected to be finalists for a professional photo shoot but will only win it IF YOU VOTE for us!!!

Voting ENDS on Tuesday at midnight--EASTERN time. All you need to do is:

1) click here, or copy this: http://www.julia-wade.com/blog/2010/03/14/top-15-finalists/

2) Scroll to the bottom, and you'll see "Leave a Comment" above the comment box

3) Put in your name and email--she won't be sending you anything, it's just for verification that people aren't duplicating votes

4) Type "KERRI"

5) Vote AGAIN with a new email address!

6) Please send to ANY friends, family, anyone you know to help us win this contest!!!! Blog it. Facebook it. Whatever! The more people we have is the only way we'll win! THANK YOU for your help!

We can't win without you! The only way we'll win is if you vote and you get someone who doesn't know us to vote!

So, that's what you can do for us, now WHAT can we do for you?

Love,

Kerri, Steve, Carter, Addison, Alana

Please, if you love us, help our friends. They really need it. (How's that for a guilt trip?:) )

Pop!

Here is what E said today in the Wal-Mart parking lot as Jared carried him from the car to the store. "Look out! A car is coming! You don't want the car to run over you because the wheel will go in your body, and your body will pop! Then you won't be a boy or girl anymore!"
I just love hearing the mind of a child!!!
