Picture time

Last week we went to have our family picture taken, and also have individual pictures of the kids. I think it was too much to try to do at one time.

H was great for her pictures.

She posed and smiled for the camera.

E started out unsure, even though we had brought his favorite toy, Thomas.

This is how he ended up. I don't think I have ever taken him to have his picture taken when he didn't have a hard time.

By the time we got to taking the family picture, both kids had had enough, and this is how the session ended.
So, I think from here on out, we will do the kids pictures and the family pictures separately.

Birthday

We just celebrated E's 2nd birthday a few days ago, on the 10th. Jared's parents and sisters Jessica, Kayleen, and Heather came, and Heather's two girls. Maryle's parents were there too. It was a lot of fun. E loves the movie Cars, so we had a cars themed birthday party.

And even though it was a Cars themed party, half of his presents were Thomas the Tank Engine toys, because he loves trains too. Although I don't think he understood the concept of it being his birthday, he really enjoyed the fun.

The Inevitable

E has been trying for so long to get a hold of my lipstick, and I have always been able to stop him before. On his birthday, though, he succeeded in his quest, and had a great time.

Halloween

We had a great time on Halloween. E was dressed as a frog. We went to Great Grandma Kidman's house, and took E around her neighborhood. He wouldn't say trick-or-treat at the doors, but he was sure excited to get candy from everyone.

H didn't get to go trick-or-treating, she was too busy sleeping.

Jared dressed up as a Cowboy, and Maryle was a Princess.

Go Rockies!

We dressed up H as a Rockies cheerleader during the World Series, hoping that it would help the Rockies win. Alas, maybe next year. Then out of sheer convienence, that became her Halloween costume.

Here We Are!

Well, after seeing JoDee's and Rachael's blogs, we decided it would be a good idea to join in the fun. After all, it is a free and easy way to keep family and friends updated with what is going on in our lives.
